Heirloom Tomato
Higher in lycopene than a standard round tomato of the same weight.
No two heirloom tomatoes in this bowl are the same shade, which is the point — uniform red is a supermarket trait, bred in on purpose. Buy them ugly, ribbed, slightly lopsided, and cut them just before shooting; the cut face is where the color actually lives.
